Safety Standards for Responsible Shooting
Your bow must only be aimed toward the target at all times—never toward people, walls, or ceilings. This prevents accidental injury, even if an arrow is unintentionally released.
Arrows may only be shot when the range is officially “clear” and shooting has been authorized. This ensures no one is downrange retrieving arrows or adjusting targets.
You may not step forward of the shooting line until all shooting has stopped and arrows are secured. This rule prevents serious accidents caused by miscommunication.
Arrows should only be placed on the bowstring immediately before shooting. This reduces the risk of accidental release while adjusting equipment or turning around.
The Range Officer’s decisions are final and must be followed immediately. Their role is to maintain safety, order, and fair use of the indoor range.
